The Playmobil Country range offers numerous playsets on the theme of country life. In addition to pure riding and pony stables, there is also a large farm with silo (Playmobil Country 70132). The building is a barn with a hayloft that can be loaded with bales of straw using a lifting crane. There is a cowshed and pigsty in the lower part. There are also 3 human figures and numerous small parts, such as tools, feed and fence elements.
The large farm (Playmobil 6120) today comprises a two-storey farmhouse with stable and hayloft. The design is extremely loving and playful. It impresses with subtleties such as differently designed flower boxes, rustic garden furniture and realistic-looking half-timbering. A freight elevator allows bales of straw to be stored in the hayloft and fence elements delimit the grazing areas for the animals inside. These include cows, pigs, chickens, geese and cats. In addition to the farm family of three, the set includes plenty of small parts such as tools, food, furniture and plants.
The Playmobil farm range is completed by the Playmobil 4897 farm to take away. This compact playset consists of a foldable stable building with a carrying handle. All of the included accessories can be stored in the building and taken along very easily. It includes play figures, cows, goats, cats, tools and food.

Playmobil stands for high-quality system toys made in Germany. At its main plant in Zirndorf near Nuremberg, the company geobra Brandstätter Stiftung & Co. KG, the global market leader in this field, produces a wide variety of plastic parts for numerous play worlds. The figures are 7.5 cm tall, making them ideal for children aged 4 and over. For younger children, there are special 1,2,3 sets in yellow packaging, which do not have any small parts that can be swallowed and are reduced to essential play functions. Playmobil toys were first presented at the Nuremberg Toy Fair in 1974. At that time there were initially 3 theme worlds: Construction Site, Indians and Knights. To date, the range has been expanded to around 40 different theme worlds.
The first farm-themed playset was introduced back in 1978. It was the first theme world with a large variety of animal figures. Before that, there were only horses in addition to the human figures. The Playmobil farm was relaunched in 1982, 2005, 2011, 2015 and 2019. In each case, the design was revised, functions expanded and the range of accessories increased.
